Country Music Hall of Famer George Jones will be celebrating his 80th birthday at the Grand Ole Opry on September 13. The country crooner will be joined by Alan Jackson, Oak Ridge Boys, Eric Lee Beddingfield, Joe Diffie, Montgomery Gentry, Pam Tillis, Jamey Johnson and Blackberry Smoke.
Anyone interested in joining in on the birthday festivities can enter the Opry's Birthday Bash Dessert Contest. Simply submit your most delicious dessert recipe on the Opry's Facebook page. Make sure you get all your friends to vote, because a professional chef will make the top three recipes only. Jones himself will judge the treats. The winner will get a trip to the Opry Birthday Bash in October. They may even have their dessert featured on the menu at the new Opry Backstage Grill!
