The ASCAP Foundation is accepting submissions for the 2011 Nashville Pop Songwriters Workshop. The workshop is intended to focus on the development and education of promising new pop songwriters. Submissions deadline is Friday, Sept. 2 by 5 PM. Prominent music industry guest speakers will be featured in each session of the workshop to give advice on topics including A&R, music publishing and legal issues.
If interested, the following must be submitted to the ASCAP Foundation:
A CD containing two (2) original songs with typed or neatly written lyric sheets.
A brief biography including address/phone number/e-mail.
Materials submitted will not be returned.

If accepted, notifications will arrive by Tuesday, Sept. 6. The workshop begins Sept. 13 and will run for six consecutive weeks, held once a week.
