Eli Young Band’s latest single, “Crazy Girl,” has been certified Gold by the RIAA for sales of over 600,000 downloads. The lead single is from Life At Best, their upcoming album to be released Aug. 16.
The single was a success from the start. It made its debut at number one on the iTunes Country Singles Chart with more than 47,000 downloads the first week and continued with an average of 30,000 downloads a week since. It is the band’s fastest rising single and is currently Top 20 and climbing.
“It’s pretty cool that the single went gold before the record even came out,” said lead singer Mike Eli. Drummer Chris Thompson added, “This is a huge milestone for us.”
Be sure to pick up their album, Life At Best, Aug. 16. With a success like this with “Crazy Girl” the album should be worth hearing. “Fans are going to love this album,”said Republic Nashville President Jimmy Harnen.
