Some of the most influential men in country music will be honored in a CMT special on August 10 at 8:00 pm ET/PT, called What’s Your 20? 20 Greatest Men, 20 Years. The two hour show will count down the twenty greatest men of country music, based on fan votes from CMT.com.
The countdown includes both legends of country as well as some artists who are just at the beginning of what are sure to be long careers, but they all have one thing in common—they have made a significant and lasting impact on country music. From Johnny Cash to Brad Paisley, they have each put their own distinctive style into their music, making them unforgettable to their fans. The show will celebrate this variety of performers through interviews, clips of music videos, and footage of their concerts. There will also be interviews with some of country’s greatest female stars, such as Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, and Martina McBride. Music critics and journalists will also be on hand to give their input about the twenty men that fans voted the greatest country artists of the past twenty years.
