Crossroads: Martina McBride And Train Coming To DVD

Sometimes good pairings are found in the most unexpected places. That is why CMT’s Crossroads takes today’s biggest country stars and pairs them with musicians from other genres to create a one of a kind concert that can yield some surprisingly great results. CMT had one of their best partnerships to date when they had country superstar Martina McBride take the stage with one of today’s most popular rock bands, Train. The resulting collaboration was music to everyone’s ears, regardless of genre, and has prompted the partnership of CMT and Big Machine Label Group’s Republic Nashville to release the concert to DVD, now available in Target stores nationwide.
The show was taped in front of a live audience last year in Nashville, TN, and aired on CMT last November. The DVD features the seven performances from the show, as well as two bonus, never before seen performances and extended interviews with the artists. Martina and Train have joined the exclusive group of performers to appear on Crossroads, including artists such as The Pretenders and Faith Hill, John Mayer and Keith Urban, and Bon Jovi and Sugarland, but they are only the second concert that has been released to DVD (the first was 2009’s pairing of Def Leppard and Taylor Swift). In addition, they were nominated for the 2011 CMT Music Awards CMT Performance of the Year from CMT CROSSROADS: TRAIN AND MARTINA MCBRIDE.
