The North Carolina singer/songwriters, The Avett Brothers, are coming to CMT.com for CMT Unplugged. The new episode debuts Wednesday, July 13 at 9 PM ET at www.unplugged.CMT.com and on the Starburst® Facebook page, the exclusive sponsor for the series.

Music from the band’s current album, I and Love and You, will bring fans to the Live Viewing Party at both outlets to watch and chat with one another. The band will also play a special Starburst Contradictions Track covering Roger Miller’s “Where Have All the Average People Gone.” A new sit-down interview will be revealed with The Avett Brothers as they tell fans about their musical inspirations and their first public performances such as covering Beastie Boys and a solo as Santa Claus.

Starburst acts as the sponsor and partner for Unplugged. Due to the fact that the candy is a solid yet juicy candy, Starburst presents the Contradictions Track, where Unplugged artists perform a song that is contradictory to their normal genre of music.

The Avett Brothers join Mumford & Sons, Adele and Lykke Li in the 2011 roster of “Unplugged” artists.
