Blake Shelton’s latest single “Honey Bee” has become his first single to achieve Platinum certification for digital sales!
For the fourth week in a row, “Honey Bee” holds the number one spot on the Country Aircheck / Mediabase chart and the Billboard Country chart with an audience of more than 40 million. The song sat at number one on the iTunes Overall Albums Chart last week as well as the iTunes Country Album Chart and iTunes Country Song Chart.
Blake holds the record for the fastest selling digital Platinum single for a male country solo artist and is the only country artist to do so in more than six years. He was nominated for his first ever Teen Choice Award in the categories of Choice Music: Male Country Artist and Choice Music: Country Single for “Honey Bee.”
This Friday he will perform on NBC’s The Today Show’s Summer Concert Series with “Honey Bee” and his new single, “God Gave Me You.” The show is Friday, July 8 at 8:00 AM EST.
