Most Southerners, and even many country stars, are no stranger to suffering due to natural disasters, considering Nashville’s flooding last year and the devastating tornadoes across the South and Midwest just a few months ago. So when former North Dakota resident and country artist James Otto saw what was currently happening to the town Minot, ND due to flooding, he knew he had to help, and he knew his fans would be just as willing to give back as he was.

James will be hosting a live streaming benefit concert on StageIt.com on July 6th at 7 pm. Tickets will cost $5 and all proceeds from ticket sales as well as a virtual “tip jar” on the site will be donated to Minot’s local Red Cross. To help matters even further, a fan of Otto’s who wishes to remain anonymous has agreed to match all tip jar donations up to $5,000 dollars to further help the flood victims.

To register, fans must go to www.StageIt.com and create a profile, then click on Otto’s artist page to purchase tickets.

This is a special concert in Otto’s series of “Thirsty Thursday” performances that he streams live from his home studio in order to give fans sneak peeks of new music as well as a front-row experience for fan favorites. “Since I am a former North Dakotan, this is near and dear to my heart. I hope all of you will join me for a very ‘Thirsty Thursday’ that’s more than just fun… it has the ability to make a great impact on those in need,” said Otto. “Please spread the word and join me!”
