It’s been a busy summer for Blake Shelton. As if marrying fellow country singer Miranda Lambert and becoming a judge on NBC’s hit new show The Voice weren’t enough, his single “Honey Bee” is still resting comfortably at No. 1 on the Billboard charts for the third consecutive week.
The CMA Male Vocalist of the Year will be releasing his eighth studio album, Red River Blue, just around the corner on July 12, with the album already available for pre-order on iTunes. Fans who pre-order the album will also receive bonus tracks and several live tracks from Blake Shelton LIVE: It’s All About Tonight.
Though Shelton is no stranger to success, with "Honey Bee" as his fourth No. 1 single, this one tops the charts with close to one million in digital single sales, making it the fastest selling single certified by R.I.A.A. for a country male. He also performed the song live last week on The Voice with his Team Blake performers Dia Frampton and Xenia. With this season of The Voice complete, one can only guess where this star will set his sights next, but it’s sure to be a hit.
