George Strait’s newest single “Here For A Good Time” is digitally here for your “good time!”
After only three weeks of its release, Strait’s latest single sits at No. 20 on the Billboard country singles chart. It has been a hit for two straight weeks, “Here For A Good Time” was the most added single on radio.
The song was written by Strait, his son Bubba and Dean Dillon and is the first single from George’s upcoming album to be released this year.
His last album, Twang, debuted at number one on The Billboard 200 chart and the Top Country Albums chart. George holds the record for the most number one singles of any artist. That’s right, he even bypassed Elvis with 57 to date. In 2006, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. No surprise there since he’s sold nearly 69 million records, has 33 different platinum or multi-platinum albums and the most RIAA platinum certifications in country music and the third in all genres.
But this is not the only “good time” George has had with a new single. This is his fourth new release that has debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and the 13th time debuting at number one on the Top Country Albums chart.
