Academy of Country Music Sponsors Music Camp For Special Needs Children Again

The second annual ACM (Academy of Country Music) Lifting Lives Music Camp begins on June 26 and runs through July 1 this year in Nashville, Tenn. Many country music stars will come together to volunteer their time with the special-needs campers.

The country stars are Gary Allan, Little Big Town, Darius Rucker, Carrie Underwood and Wynonna along with hit songwriters Odie Blackmon and Brett James and renowned producer Mark Bright.

The camp lasts a week and is for people with developmental disabilities that are talented in music. They will participate in a songwriting workshop as well as recording session, culminating in a live performance at the Grand Ole Opry where they will perform their original song.

This year’s ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp has more artists participating than ever before. The program is dedicated to improving lives through the power of music.
