Grand Ole Opry Celebrates CMA Music Festival Week

Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, American Idol winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina, Randy Travis, and more are all scheduled to play for packed Opry House audiences this week. Meanwhile, fans in town can connect with the Opry online to get closer—sometimes literally—to their favorite stars, and fans at home can experience the week Opry-style via a number of ways to be part of the action.

Among the online excitement:

Meet The Idols
Fans can enter via the Opry’s Facebook and Twitter beginning today to win the opportunity to meet McCreery and Alaina backstage at the Opry House Friday night when they make history with their Opry debuts.

In The Know Show
Crystal Bowersox is set to perform an exclusive In the Know Show for Opry fans on Fri., June 10. Fans who follow @opry on Twitter will learn details on how to be a part of the exclusive concert.

Tweetin’ And Greetin’
Following the Opry on Twitter will also win several fans their own “Tweet & Greet” at Opry Originals (the store on 3rd and Broadway) throughout the week. A “Tweet & Greet” includes a one-on-one meet & greet with an artist and a personalized autographed CD. Among the artists participating are Opry members Craig Morgan, Mel Tillis, and Steve Wariner.

Opry Prize Patrol
Opry staffers will canvass Nashville, awarding prizes to fans who follow @Opry on Twitter and are first to locate the Prize Patrol each time locations are revealed. Among the prizes up for grabs are autographed prints, CDs, show tickets, Opry House Backstage Pass Tours, and more.

You Oughta Be In Pictures
Fans are invited to step inside the Opry photo booth in the Fan Fair Exhibit Hall to get a little crazy and have their photos taken and uploaded to Facebook daily.

There’s An App For That
All the excitement of the week will be captured for fans—both those in Nashville and others around the world—on the Opry’s free mobile app as well as at http://www.opry.com/cmafest/. In addition to updates on artist signings and Opry show line-ups throughout the week, fans can also listen to each star-packed Opry performance.
